Incorrect update of /etc/group when changing user's main group

Hi,

After changing my main group in the
system->administration->users and
groups interface from csoler (the default, which is also my
login name)
into users, the file /etc/group was not changed accordingly:
I expected
to see that the "users" group would have a new
entry named "csoler" (my
login name), but it did not.

** Affects: gnome-desktop (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed

I want to add that the users-admin program does not work
correctly also
in Ubuntu 6.10. In fact I want delete a group, before added
using this
tool, but the file /etc/group still has the information. I
have had
change it manually.
