I also have dapper running on an AMD64 machine. You should
check
pilot-link.org and search the forums. It sounds like your
computer is
not creating the ports...
I myself have NOT been able to sync. I got the ports
created by chance
and a lot of hacking around. I get an "error reading
file system." I
also am having a hard time blue-tooth syncing as the OS menu
in the
Sync screen is slightly different from an awesome guid at
pilot-link.org.
