Hello,
I recently came across this comment at the Freedom Toaster
site:

This is what I sent as a comment:
Hello,
I think you're doing a great disservice by doing this kind
of
calculations. This is really contrary to the spirit in which
I think the
Toaster was designed.
Windows can be obtained for free in academic deals or
included as OEM in
*so many ways* your estimates aren't even close to reality.
The price of
licencing is a tiny part of overall costs of using non
free/open source
software, including social, educational and even political
costs.
Bashing Microsoft and using signs like "M$"
really doesn't help in any way.
Furthermore, Suse charges for *support options* and other
things when
it's sold. How can you be comparing that and even laughing
at the fact
they supposedly loose any money ? If anything, the toaster
lets users
try the distributions, and then go pay for support/etc. if
they feel
like it.
I'd like to invite you to read the Ubuntu Code of Conduct
at
http://www.ub
untu.com/community/conduct and revise your post. There
must
be another way of highlighting the great number of
"toasts" the system
you talked about has produced.
Cheers,
Fabian Rodriguez
