Hmm.  I think you don't actually mean what you wrote.  The
idea of "opt-in"
is that one _must_ choose to be "in" - that it
isn't done automatically.  I
think you're really saying that's a _good_ idea.  

So is it planned that malone will look at the subscriber
list?  It still
seems that this would be resolved by making the choice to
automatically opt
in or out up to the user, set in their malone account.

If Malone will look at the subscriber list there must be an
option to
disable this.  Many people want two copies so as to preserve
the correct
threading in both their inbox and ubuntu-bugs folders.
