HowTo use Evolution mail with GMAIL

I did all the instructions at the linked page but now it
retrieves
unread messages from 2005. So I deleted it and now there are
no mails
in the inbox. So I log in the web interface and all my new
mails from
this list are there. I am confused how this error happens. I
am
confused why Evolution is showing only emails from 2005 and
not from
2006. I tried sending mails from Evolution but it would not
send it
but I can send mails if I log from the gmail site (like this
email to
the list).
