Custom post installation scripts

One of the things I had to do while configuring my PVR-150
was copying
firmware files into /lib/firmware/<kernel_version> and
some modules
into /lib/modules/<kernel_version>/ivtv. Plus I had to
move some other
modules around in the the
/lib/modules/<kernel_version> directory.



The problem is that the next time the kernel is upgraded,
everything
will have to be done again. Is there a way to run my own
post-installation script after a new kernel image is
installed?
