OT?: reverting local git tree to ubuntu-2.6-git

hi,

I'm trying to track down some problems in a self-built
kernel and in
pursuit of this goal want to revert my kernel tree to the
ubuntu
standard (to see whether the issue is relevant to my patches
or not --
the suspend2 patchset in particular).  SUrely there's a
command to
revert the tree?  I find the git docs a little hard to
follow so if
anyone wants to clue me in I'd appreciate it!
