I think I had exactly the same problem with earlier versions
of the
plugin.

I use currently

    File name: libflashplayer.so
    Shockwave Flash 9.0 d78

without any issues.

without any issues.

There is a major problem with linux flash 9 that it doesn't connect to a webcam very easily, compared to version 7.

In YouTube, you can record a video on-the-fly as long as you have a flash plugin,
It helps us linux users to record videos, because currently, PiTiVi, DiVa, Kino, etc,
isn't ready yet. I can't find any open source application that can record both sound and videos by a webcam (yet).
