    google is your friend. Try 'lshid  debian';. 'lshid ubuntu'; has zero result...

With a fast reading, it seems the package has trouble to be compiled by debian.

You can compile it yourself from 
http://svn.ailab.ch/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/libhid/trunk/test/?rev=192
