Does anyone on the list use wireless on a laptop running
Ubuntu with an
Apple AirPort? I will be visiting relatives who use only
Macs. Are
there any issues with running an Intel based laptop using
IPW2200? I
told them I would not sully their home with Microsoft. Also
will give me
a chance to show them what Feisty can do.

I believe AirPort is open to standard 802.11-b/g wireless
protocols, so
it's really just a question of whether your card and the
Linux driver
function at the required level of encryption (WEP or WPA).

If you post the model of the AirPort and your wireless card,
someone
might be able

My friend runs home network with two Airport devices, the
little ones
that simply plug in, one extends the range of the other
which is cabled
to the DSL modem. Ubuntu connects with no problems.

Dell Inspiron 6000, Ubuntu 6.10, using NetworkManager
