NX server under GPL?

Hello,

I saw today that NX has committed to releasing its
commercial server 
under the GPL in the near future.

(In German; I haven't been able to find anything about this
in English 
on www.nomachine.com or Google News)

Is this true? If so, it is certainly good news, but what
does it imply 
for the future of the FreeNX project? The article also
speculates that 
NX 2.0 will be available this summer. Does anyone have any
sense how a 
GPL version of NX 2.0 would compare in features to FreeNX
0.5?
