Sorry if this has been treated before, but while I continue
looking, could
anyone enlighten me as to how to import wand settings etc.
from a previous
version? I've just installed 9.0 and now of course I have
no idea how to
log in to half the sites I need to...

Quite easy, Harry. If you're using separate installations,
merely copy
the wand.dat from the old profile to the newer one. If you
update your
existing Opera, it should be taken care of automatically.

Hmm, that's what I thought, but instead it seems to have deleted all
sorts of stuff, or rather it's put new files on top of it (same
difference of course! or worse...).
Still, I have discovered I am cleverer than I remembered, because I found
some passwords etc in the Safe in ClipMate! Even better, I could
actually identify them because I had given them identifiable names!
)
As you see, I have boundless confidence that no one else is ever going to
break into my computer! (However, let me reassure you that none of the
data I'm talking about related to banking institutions!)
Thanks for the tip about wand.dat Ken!

I can finally do all my telebanking in Opera, so I'm a
happy bunny.
Postbank used to be difficult to acces, I had to use firefox
if I wanted
to use telebanking, but this version has no problems at all.

Actually I had been happily using Postbank with 8.54, after
discovering a kind of roundabout route for getting to the login
page.
Not that I would personally want to have an a/c with Postbank, but it is
a condition of having a Postbank mortgage, which at the time (1981) was a
very good mortgage. May well still be, for all I know. But a bank that
basically does everything differently from every other bank in the
country is not helpful. For most of my business I use another bank. (NB
Not ABN. Don't want people getting the wrong idea about me!
Cheers,
Harry
