Opera doesn't print postage on Paypal site

I am having trouble with Opera in regards to printing
postage from the
Paypal website.

I do alot of Paypal transactions (over 100 a month)
and am getting tired
of switching to Firefox every time I need to print
postage.

When you print postage through Paypal, you get a
pop-up screen that
shows you a preview of the label you are going to
print. This pop-up
has a "Print Label" button on it that once
clicked,
should launch the
print dialog box in Opera.

But it doesn't. I have reported this several times on
the Opera beta
forum ( I am using 9.0 throughout the beta process and
just upgraded to
9.0 Final today) until I'm blue in the face - but no
one has listened,
responded or fixed it.

Is there something that I need to set in order to have
Opera function
properly to print postage from Paypal? Some setting I
may have overlooked?

If I can't get this resolved I may be a 8+ year Opera
user that switches
to Firefox because Opera doesn't care to listen when
complaints are made
on beta versions nor do they even care to respond on
the forums.

Thanks for any help you may be able to provide!

Just complaining to a web forum or newsgroup does not mean
that anyone
from Opera software has actually read it. Both of those
venues are
primarily communities of fellow Opera users. The only way to
ensure you
have Opera's attention is to either contact Opera Software
support
directly, submit a bug report <http://www.ope
ra.com/support/bugs/>, or
Help > Report a site problem. Note that the last two
options don't
necessarily give you any feedback either, but they will be
read!

I doubt it. It's most likely some scripting problem, which
could be
anything, but it's most likely something that Paypal will
need to fix.
Have you reported the problem to Paypal too?

In general, threats are poorly received by anyone. Switch to
Firefox if
that works better for you!

I think the main problem is that it sounds like you need to
have sold
something via Paypal. That means the folks from Opera
software are going
to have to set up at least two accounts, sell something,
transfer some
real money, etc. It's a lot of hassle. They may not even be
able to
reproduce your problem. Often online vendors provide
different systems to
different parts of the world, and the Paypal for Norway may
work
differently to Paypal elsewhere.

Is there anything in the error console (Tools > Advanced
> Error console)?
You might want to open the console before going to the page
with the
"Print Label" button and clear out any existing
messages. That way the
messages you do see will be related only to the page with
the problem
button.

That will only be a start. I'm happy to make an effort if
you are. It will
probably require looking at the page source code, so you'd
have to save
that, remove any personal bits and email it to me. I'd have
a look at that
and see if there's any clues, and I might have to get back
to you for more
bits and pieces. Email me directly if you're interested.

Hi Wolfgrrl,
in my work for Opera core QA I have handled a bug report
about this
problem. (I don't know if it was filed by you or by someone
else).

I've done the following:
- made payments between the personal PayPal accounts of core
QA
colleagues a number of times, trying to find the
"print postage"
option after a payment, and trying to work out what about a
payment
might make this option appear.
- since we did not find the problem this way, I have
personally
written to eBay about it and discussed "label
printing" features
found in either PayPal or eBay. Unfortunately the features
they told
us how to find appeared to work fine.
- I don't have a clue why I don't see the option/popup
window that
fails to print. Perhaps something to do with my account type
in
PayPal, a setting I need to enable, or something that isn't
available
through PayPal accounts for my country.
- the bug is still open for analysis, in other words still
on my
table. Given the importance of PayPal I won't close it but
at this
point it won't see any action without more information :-(

I have given this problem a serious amount of my time and
unfortunately so far you have seen no results of that. If
you can
help me reproduce it we might get somewhere..
