One of Opera's more "hidden" features is it's
ability to COMPLETELY mask
itself as IE or FF. If you go to http://showip.net you'll see
that even
with Opera set to mask itself as IE or FF it still says
it's Opera at the
beginning of it's user agent string, which is helpful for
browser sniffers
that are set to only accept IE and FF. If the site has
SPECIFICALLY
blocked Opera in its browser sniffer though, heavier masking
is needed,
which Opera can provide but like I said at the beginning of
this, that
ability is more hidden. You can download Opera Tools though
at
http://w
ww.diplo.co.uk/design/operatools.php , which adds an
option in the
right click menu to change your user agent string to
completely mask
itself as IE or FF. Hope this helps.
