Hi all, how can I back up settings in Opera for Mac 9.1,
running on
MacOS X 10.4.8
I've done something realy bad and I have to reinstall
system, and I
don't want to lose my settings - for example I begin always
with the
same opened windows as when I closed Opera for the last time
and I
have opened about 20 windows, which I realy use. I don't
want to use
pen and paper to write all those addresses so that I could
set all
the sites again.
Thanks

Save a session and take a backup of this session. I am not sure where mac saves sessions
though.

If i were you i'd go to applications > terminal OR console.. (i think is terminal)
and run the command: #locate opera | grep session
You may also need to run #updatedb before the above or sth similar on Mac's terminal.
The above will give you the exact location of the opera session folder. You will have to copy the
contents from the above folder back in the new folder after re-installation.

Maybe someone can give the exact location without having to do the above

Regards

On the Windows side, it seems like everything is just in the
Program Files/Opera folder. It may be different if you're
using a profile setup, though. It's better to be safe and
check, but I'd wager that it's similar on the Mac
(everything being in one folder, that is).

It looks like Opera keeps its data here:

home/Library/Preferences/Opera Preferences

There is a file there called Opera Global History that seems
to be
the one you want. You could save that entire Opera
Preferences
folder to be sure.
