katrina is correct; earthlink's accelerator is buggy

katrina,
you are real smart 
although the earthlink accelerator was working, it was
interfering with  
the proper functioning of both my mouse & me keyboard.
both were stalling  
& 'hanging-up'. sometimes the left click on the mouse
was playing dead,  
sometimes there was a lag between my typing and the letters
appearing in  
the document.....and then the letters would suddenly be
"spit out".
after uninstalling the 'total access' program, things are
working fine.
