Can't help but throw this little known bit of info into the
converstation:

Digium and polycom are working on an automatic discovery and
configuration
system for the polycom phones in asterisk.  Also, the new
polycom phones
support wideband codecs.

My rankings in call sound quality (best first):

Aastra
Snom
Cisco
Spa942
grandstream

HI Dave,

I dont really have a magic conf file for the Aastra.  I have
to admit
I kept the setup simple and used the web gui and pointed the
phones to
the server and configured some of the soft keys for paging,
BLF and
DND.
