Hi,
I am a new member and looking for advice on the best software
development tool(s) for some educational software I would like to
write. The programs would be used on home pc's running windows and
would involve displaying text, graphics, sounds and perhaps videos
to the users. Student inputs via text, button clicks and drag/drops
would be used to measure performance and provide additional help if
needed.
I have programmed in LabVIEW (graphical programming language for
instrumentation) that is a great tool for automation/instrumentation
but does not lend itself well to using for the applications I have
in mind. I have some limited experience in C. I have a son who can
program in Java who will be helping with these programs but we both
figure we will be needing to pretty much start from ground 0 in
learning whatever tool is best for the job. Any advice will be
appreciated. Thanks!
