Yes. Of course. I replied quickly thinking it was obvious. However, for his
project Access will not cut it.

mah24ph, I believe MySQL has a limit on it though. I could be wrong. I think
it holds up to 4GB and stops. You may want to check on that brother before
getting into it.

DSL should be alright as long as you are not in a high populated area.
Otherwise, DSL tend to drop in performance. The same applies if you are too
far from the central office. Keep those in mind. Good luck.

thanks. i planned to use mysql 5.0 server (open source) is this okay
if i used vb6 as frontend? by the way, the two branches has its own
dsl connection.

Thanks Jean,

I will check that.

Anyway, i got an advise, that i should setup a vpn server on both
main office and warehouse for the connection since both offices also
has its own dsl connection, and then setup another server for the
system in the main office. I think or I hope it will work.
