MS decided to not include the DBGrid with VB6.
You have to go to their website, and download it
(Not sure if it is on the VB6 MSDN Help DVD)
I have created a stand alone installer, which the user RUNS
ONCE, to
install and register DBGid on their machine.
My real programs are not distributed as installers. I just
give them
an exe to run.
I normally avoid any dependencies, but the free SGrid2 is
just too
useful. So I use a similar trick to install/register it.
I don't use bound controls these days, so my memories on the
DBGrid
problems may be faulty.
You can email me, if you want, and I will send you my DBGrid
installer.
