I have a suggestion for the name of the id element mentioned
in section
3.12.

You could call it a guidget - a global unique identifier for
a widget.
This name also implies a possible implementation - each
widget can be
given a random 128 (or 256) bit identifier. It works for COM
objects.
Will probably work here as well.

Currently we are just using reverse domain IDs, e.g.
com.yahoo.widget.stockticker. Do we think GUIDs are really
necessary?
We've talked about moving to them here, but I'm not sure
what it
ultimately gets us.
