Call for papers: Business & Technical Sessions
With the great success in the United States and Europe at
the Official
OWASP Application Security Conferences, OWASP
are bringing the conference to the Asia Pacific Rim and
Australia in
early 2008. The OWASP conferences are dedicated
exclusively to Application Security Topics, one of the most
critical
threats facing any business in today's business
environment.
The conference is scheduled for the Wednesday (27th) of
February
(Training Day) with the main conference presentations
provided on the 28th and 29th of February.
OWASP is seeking for presentations on Application Security
and related
OWASP projects from the community. Over the conference
program there are 8 technical and 8 business presentation
sessions
running approximately 1 hour in length each.
Possible Topics include:
- OWASP Project Presentation (i.e Tool Updates/Project
Status etc)
- Web Services Security
- Secure Coding Principles & Design
- Designing Secure Applications
- Business Risk from Applications
- Privacy Concerns with Applications and Data Storage
- Baseline or Metrics for Application Security
- Technology Specific Risks (including Ajax, Web 2.0, Flash
etc)
As there a limited number of available presentations please

proposed presentation ideas to:

Simply reply to this email with your idea and a short
paragraph or two
on what you propose to present on.
Closing date for presentation ideas is the 7th December
2007, with
presentation material not due until the 31st January 2008.
