Authentication for Linux against AD (LDAP/PAM?)

I'm trying to setup linux box (Debian or any other) for
authentication
against Windows Server 2003 R2 domain. I have no admin
access (and
don't want to bother admins) to Windows servers.
Is it possible to setup linux for authentication against
Windows
servers? Or should I ask admins to install SFU on servers?
Thanks,
BoB
