Hi,
I have a Server 2003 (DC) that's running out of HD space on
the
primary partition, and not anything else that I can move.
I'd like to move the Virtual Memory to the other partition,
which has
plenty of space. Is it the same as with XP, and pretty much
risk free?
Thanks
David

You have to restart for such a change to take effect. Why is
your 2003
partition growing?

Hi Justin,
It isn't growing so much, as it has too much installed on
it.. I
inherited it with a installation of Quickbooks and Exchange
on that
partition.. Both will be removed to other locations
eventually, but in
the meantime if I can free up another gig from the virtual
memory,
we'll be fine on space until we move the other programs..
Thanks
David

Gotcha. The exchange part incidentally is very easy to move.
The
hardest part is scheduling enough downtime to wait for the
move
operation to finish.
As far as relocating the virtual memory, I do that all the
time and
I've never had a problem with it, other than (as I
mentioned) having
to restart.
Good luck!
