{WindowsXp Group} please help with my problem

I cannot get RAR, ZIP, or 7z files to associate with any
programs
(winrar, winzip...), torrent files will not associate with
any
programs (azureus), and flash will not work, no matter how
many times
i reinstall. i am the admin on this computer so i dont get
whats going
on. can you help?

Dear iiz,

have you tried
 * manually adding the associations, or removing the
associations before 
installing?
 -> either via the windows GUI (explorer, extra, folder
options, file types)
 -> or via the registry
 -> try http://www.
dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm too, it contains 
premade reg fixes.
 -*> As ALWAYS when working with the registry, make a
backup first!!

 * scanning the PC for evildoers which might prevent the
association
 -> A hijackthislog can tell you (or others) a lot
 -> Antispyware programs? Use them 

If none of the above work, or you need more help, just hit
reply and 
give us more info (a hijackthislog would be nice, too)
