Have installed this program.....comes up "Failed to
initialize
capture" and "No capture
driver is avail in the system".

I had a few movie making programs installed but have since
uninstalled
them because I
like this one the best, but now it won't capture. Have
spent hours
and hours and days and
days learning about this computer, a slow and painful
process, it's
addictive but cannot
afford the time.

Cant see where it says anything about capture driver.

Am using:

Windows XP Home Edition
Winfast TV2000XP WDM Video Capture
Enough RAM
Enough disk space
ATAPI DVD DUAL 4X max drive
Composite........PAL.........High Quality.......MPEG 2

Sorry, I am an amateur.

I am afraid that we can't help you with that particular
program, unless
someone here actually has it too. The best advice would be
to contact
the Ulead customer services directly.

However, some general tips that might help/solve your
issues:

 * since it complains about the drivers, and you said you
uninstalled
similar programs, it might be possible one of those
uninstalls removed a
driver Ulead was using too.
-> First, try reinstalling the Ulead program. It should
reinstall all
drivers it needs. Visit the ulead website for updates,
drivers and support.
-> Try installing other programs, after each single
install testing the
ulead again. When it suddenly works again, you know the
program
installed a driver you need.
-> I still would advise you to contact Ulead Customer
Service!

Good luck!

Lulu,

You said, "I had a few movie making programs installed

I'm just curious as to whether you uninstalled the programs
you DIDN'T
want after you installed the program you did want...

As uninstalling the unwanted programs might have taken a
shared file
with it.... and so, you're unable to capture.

Try uninstalling Ulead after ensuring all the other programs
you don't
want have gone.
Reboot, then, reinstall Ulead again....

Hopefully, this should cure the problem.

Cheers,
Daz
