Have you successfully used TDD and Java along with 1 or more of:
Struts 2, Spring, and Hibernate?

Your first project will be as a developer on a newly forming XP team.
This will be our 4th XP team at this Fortune 500 client in downtown
Chicago. The role will involve heavy pair programming, TDD, and
technical design in a very collaborative environment.

Obtiva is the leading Agile software development company dedicated to
working with Chicago area clients. Our success has been built on top
of two core values:
- We use Agile practices to deliver value quickly.
- We grow our team members professionally through a philosophy of
Software Craftsmanship (http://dis.cipul.us/patterns).

Obtiva offers four services to clients:
- Training classes taught by real developers;
- Expert, short-term coaching in technologies and practices (Ruby on
Rails, Hibernate, Ajax, TDD, APM, and others);
- Full project implementations from our Software Studio;
- Project augmentation for applying our expertise onsite while working
closely with clients.

Relocation is available.

These are a mix of permanent and contract positions.

Grails/J2EE Agile Developer Needed for work in Northern VA

While I am doing most of my work in Rails now I occasionally need
folks to help out in the Java space. It looks like that time has
come again.

I am working on a bid that is essentially a Scrum/XP hybrid Agile
project. We will be doing TDD, Continuous Integration, Pairing and
all of the other fun Engineering Practices that come with an Agile
Project. We are bidding a Grails/J2EE to fit into their existing
J2EE deployment.

As part of this engagement we will be helping bring the client up to
speed on Grails and Agile Development so I am also looking for folks
that like to act as role models/mentors.

What You Need
- J2EE experience (I know Grails claims to hide this beast but...)
- Penchant for Agile Development and experience with the practices
- Some Rails Experience would be nice
- Grails experience would be great (I realize that there is not a lot
of that out there ... so don't sweat it)
- Ability to mentor others

This is a subcontract gig so you need to be aware that there are no
benefits attached to this offer other than the ability to work on an
Agile Project and make a decent rate doing it. The work is in the
Reston VA area.

If you are interested drop me a line.
