DESCRIPTION/PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
--Senior Database Programmer/Administrator leading a small XP
development team supporting a civilian government agency in
Washington, D.C.
--Manage database systems and applications using MS Access and SQL
Server.
--Develop and execute software development plans.
--Analyze, define and validate data requirements and specifications.
--Design, develop, manage and modify new and existing databases and
applications.
--Define, develop and implement user interface requirements.
--Develop user guides, standard operating procedures and other system
documentation.
--Conduct software installation and system configurations in a network
environment.
--Supervise, train and mentor junior database programmers/administrators.
--This position is contingent on contract award.
REQUIREMENTS:
--Five years experience working production databases and applications.
--Four year college degree in Computer Science or IT related field, or
an extra two years experience in database development.
--Experience administering and developing applications for Access and
MS SQL 7.0-2000.
--Experience developing with Visual Studio including VB, VB Script, ASP.
--Experience with IIS, HTML and Javascript.
--Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
--Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
--Ability to manage multiple, high priority tasks simultaneously.
