Software Engineering Coach, Developer Testing at Google (Mountain View or NY)

Ever wanted to be a "Mercenary"? This year we
started an internal consulting
group at Google (The "Test Mercenaries") to help
projects with their
developer/unit testing efforts. We work intensely with
individual projects
for a few months by refactoring their code and improving the
team's software
development practices. But not by preaching but by hands-on
development – at
Google code talks! It's a great way to learn a lot of Google
projects in a
short time. And although we are primarily focusing on
developer testing, we
can usually introduce other agile practices during our
engagements to help
the team making testing part of their development process.
In addition, we
are improving testing infrastructure at Google.
