Senior User Interface Engineer
The Senior Agile Software Engineer will help us implement an
administrative interface for a next generation web security system
using cutting edge technology. The Senior Interface Engineer will
report directly to the VP of Engineering and participate in all phases
of interface development – including technical design, mentoring,
implementation, and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will have
extensive experience in developing intuitive user interfaces for
software applications. The team will employ the "Agile with Scrum";
development methodology.
Responsibilities
• Interface Design: Contribute to the design of our administrative
interface using
• Design Elaboration: Work with Technical Leads and the Technical
Product Manager to elaborate technical requirements and evaluate
alternatives.
• Development: Participate in the implementation of the system -
focusing on the user interface. Estimation, detailed design, coding,
and unit testing.
• Quality Assurance: Work with the SQA lead to ensure proper testing
coverage. Implement unit and integration testing.
Qualifications
• Expert level Java application development experience
• Expert level Flash/FLEX/Actionscript skills
• Strong AJAX/DHTML/CSS skills
• 5+ years of experience developing web-based applications
• 3+ years experience with XML
• Dedicated individual who will work very hard to meet the commitments
he/she makes.
• Strong understanding of object oriented design principles
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent
experience)
• Experience with web access control or security software a plus.
• Linux development experience a plus.
Agile Technical Writer
The Agile Technical Writer will lead the creation of the documentation
and online help for a next generation web security system at a fast
paced startup based in downtown Boulder, CO. The Agile Technical
Writer will report directly to the VP of Engineering and participate
in all phases of creating the documentation and online help system –
including design, implementation, and quality assurance. The team will
employ the "Agile with Scrum"; development methodology. The ideal
candidate will have experience in building and maintaining
documentation sets for enterprise-class security software products.
Responsibilities
• Documentation Design: Work with Product Manager to create the style,
look and feel of our documentation set.
• Implementation: Work with engineers and quality assurance people to
thoroughly understand our software. Create and maintain a
single-sourced documentation set that is published as both .pdf
documents and HTML help.
• Quality Assurance: Work with the SQA lead to ensure proper testing
coverage for the documentation set.
Qualifications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to quickly come up to speed on new technology.
• 5+ years experience with FrameMaker
• 3+ years experience with Web Works or similar publishing system
• 3+ years of experience documenting web-based applications
• Dedicated individual who will work very hard to meet the commitments
he/she makes.
• Experience with web access control or security software a plus.
• Experience with the Linux environment a plus.
• Samples of prior work will be requested.
Agile Software Engineer
The Agile Software Engineer will contribute to the development of a
next generation web security system at a fast paced startup based in
downtown Boulder, CO. The Agile Software Engineer will report
directly to the VP of Engineering and participate in all phases of
development – including technical design, implementation, and quality
assurance. The team will employ the "Agile with Scrum"; development
methodology. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing
enterprise-class security software products. This is an excellent
opportunity for an entry level engineer to develop his/her skills
working with a proven team to develop a cutting edge technology.
Responsibilities
• Design Elaboration: Work with Technical Leads and the Technical
Product Manager to elaborate technical requirements and evaluate
alternatives.
• Development: Participate in the implementation of the system.
Estimation, detailed design, coding, and unit testing.
• Quality Assurance: Work with the SQA lead to ensure proper testing
coverage. Ensure that developers are following coding conventions,
source control techniques, and unit testing standards.
Qualifications
• Advanced Java development skills
• 2+ years of experience developing web-based applications
• 1+ years experience with XML
• Dedicated individual who will work very hard to meet the commitments
he/she makes.
• Strong understanding of object oriented design principles
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent
experience)
