I had the oddest problem with the latest release of Xray. After a six month hiatus I checked out my old project and started beavering away at it. I am using Xray + mtasc + FDT(Eclipse 3.2) + Flash 8. What was happening was that the Xray interface was saying it was not connected, yet the FPS part of the Interface was updating. However the trace statement from the successful
1.6 connector loading did not appear. So I am not sure it had fully loaded.
Anyway after tearing my hair out for an entire day trying all manner of different things I worked out that any SWF in my 'Demo\deploy' folder would not connect to Xray. I could even drag a SWF that was happy to connect to Xray from one project, into this new one and it would stop working. Creating a new structure 'Demo\exe' fixed the problem. How odd is that? FDT launches the compiled SWF with the SASplayer. I wonder if the problem is with that.
Anyway this email is to record the oddness as it might save someones hair.
Best, Nigel

Aha I worked out what the real problem was. I can even spell Weird as well!
The problem was due to the deploy folder being under subversion source control. If instead I tell subversion to ignore the deploy folder all is fine.
I worked it out when I restarted my PC and the Demo\exe folder, which I had also added to subversion stopped working with Xray.
