Hey all,

I tested out the Flash 9 version (windows executable threw
an uncaught
exception, tried everything I could find on this board)
finally got
everything working by running the version 1.2 windows exe,
THEN the v2
swf would take a snapshot and show the contents of my
project. The
control (tree?) on the left side that shows the nested order
of objects
started to go (for lack of a better word) wonky at about the
3rd level
deep, nested elements were no longer indented, if they
showed at all,
and then it almost appeared the tree 'broke' and started to
overlap
itself, and the whole thing became quite unusable. The
video tutorial I
watched (on installation) mentioned that on large projects
the snapshot
might take a while, but mine was almost instantaneous (40+
classes, many
thousands of lines, definately 'large') if that helps at
all.

Anyway, I just wanted to offer some feedback. I'm working
with Flash
Professional 8, AS2.0, I can see using the admin tool for
smaller
projects, but the flex tree doesn't seem to wanted the
magnitude of
objects I have to offer ;)

Thanks,
Aaron

Shoot, sorry Aaron, I didn't see this until now ;(

can you send a snapshot of what you're seeing? in a Flash8/as2 scenario, I've not heard of the tree going bananas (though this could be the first ;)

Thanks for your help and patience,

John

Hi John,

It hasn't stopped me from using the program, this thing's got moves! I wish I had found this before, it would have helped me in a lot of cases.

Bugs: I sat down and played with the navigation tree for a few minutes this morning but couldn't get it to replicate the behaviour. It did it once to me yestderday; what it does is appear to 'replicate' by showing double, but almost like a second tree is vertically offset by a 5 or 6 nodes, and clicking on one spot opens an unexpected node...like I said, I couldn't get it to do it again today, if I do I will post a shot.

I watched a couple of the inline tutorials yesterday and just realized *how* powerful this little tool is, I must say "Good job!".

Cheers,
Aaron
