Hey there! New on the list, even new to Xray, but I can’t believe I’ve been going for so long without it.

Apart from the compliments, I just wanted to let you know that the ZIPped “Windows SWHX Projector - Xray Interface” has a little odd structure, where the Xray.swf is inside a long tree of “Documents and Settings/John/My Documents/Blitz/Xray/Repository/Flex/bin221; where the .exe can’t find it. It works fine when you move the file, but maybe not everyone gets that the first time ‘round.

Cheers,

Eric-Paul.

Hi Eric-Paul,

Good tip! I was having that exact problem...I got around it by just running the swf, and it seemed to work fine for me. I wonder then what is the advantage of having an exe wrapper? Does the shell have access to some dlls or something that benefit the debugger (anyone?)?

"...I can’t believe I’ve been going for so long without it..."

100% agreed, this is a great tool.

Thanks,
Aaron Fay

actually, the shell doesn't serve much of a purpose right now, but it will in the future with file i/o access, right click management (you can actually supress the context flash menu and capture right click with SWHX).

I just haven't had time to implement the new features. Getting it wrapped in SWHX was just a first step. ; You can actually use the one online as I update that first when there are fixes to the interface:

http://www.rockonflash.com/xray/flex/Xray.html

when those other features come to play, the online version might be a bit nuetered in features and I might actually remove it.
