Hi

The class MSetPostList gives a postlist which is a union of
the postlists of
all items in MSet, does it? Or there is one object of
MSetPostList for each
item in MSet?

Thanks

MSetPostList is an internal class. It's irrelevant unless
you're
planning to make modifications to Xapian's matcher (it's
used if you are
searching databases using the remote backend).

Hi

I was interested in class MSetPostList because, basically i
want to access
the positon list for each entry in mset for all the terms(
in query string)
that index it( ie. the particular mset entry). hope u
understand what i
mean!... Can i do that using functions of any of the
available classes? And
by the way, are all the internal classes not of use to a
user like me ,who
just wants to use xapian, not actually make any changes to
it? Then which
classes am I supposed to use? Please explain.

Yes, as James has already explained when you originally
asked:

general/2654

Note that the internal class MSetPostList != the API class
Xapian::MSetIterator.

Yes, that's why they're described as
"internal"!
