Hi Linoj,
I actually had a privilege for ViewBase defined as you
suggested, with
"Read" access. However, I got to thinking and
decided to test out some
variations on that privilege. So I bumped up the access
rights through the
various levels until I reached "Admin". As soon as
I set the privilige to
"Admin" access rights, the error disappeared.
However, That is obviously not a good solution to give
Anonymous Admin
access. I am not sure why the "Read" or any of the
other access levels don't
work.
One possinle reason could be that this is for a Music Group
site and I have
a streaming media audio clip playing on the Home Page. But I
don't really
think that should need full "Admin" access rights
just to allow that to
play.
The second reason could be that I moved my site up to my
Server to do some
testing and the copied the database back down to my local
Dev environment
after some changes. My Server is still on PHP 4.x and MySQL
4.x (Not sure of
the exact versions), whereas my Dev environment is on PHP
5.1.2 and MySQL
5.0.20. I read somewhere that there can be some issues when
you migrate a
MxSQL database back to 4.x from 5.x. So perhaps this is what
is cuasing my
issues.
Either way, I would appreciate any additional thoughts you
might have on
what might be causing my security issues with the Base
Module.
Cheers,
Wayne
