Ferenc's tool at xaraya.com - what is the likelyhood?

What is the likelyhood of our *.xaraya.com chaps being kind
enough to make 
Ferenc's outstanding tool available for us, poor
translators? I would love 
to have it at pt.xaraya.com simply because it is better to
have all PT-x
related translations in one location rather than using other
servers!

Nevertheless, if there is no hope, I might install it on my
servers... :-(

Then I'll make sure to ask you for help, tho!

Hi Pedro

I agree, that I think it is better to have all translations
for  a given 
locale done in one place, on the NLS sites, due to the
various requirements 
and constraints involved in ensuring the translations are
updated, and in 
sync with any specific point in the code development.

I recall when I was looking after the NLS sites we wanted to
install the TM 
tool when it first became available, or at least offer it as
an alternative. 
However, at the time we were not running the required
version of php and 
mysql on the server. I know our php and mysql are now
updated and should not 
be a blocker.

Not sure if there are any others server/software related
constraints, or 
possibly access requirements?

I'd also suggest that the NLS site translation process and
NLS site setup be 
reviewed if the TM tool is going to be used to ensure we can
still easily 
automate the monotone language repository from the NLS
sites. Use of the TM 
tool may introduce new steps over our current process that
need to be 
considered.

Johnny was going to be involved in server and NLS site
maintenance this past 
year although not sure of his actual involvement, but he may
be able to help 
regarding the process. Rabbitt I know is still looking after
the servers, 
and might be the person to catch regarding the possibility
of installation 
of  the TM tool.

I just don't understand how come Ferenc's amazing
translation tool isn't 
merged into the translations module yet :-P

Yes, we had discussions, and with Ferenc previously. It was
not something 
that could be merged into the existing translations module
at that stage, 
and i don't think it's changed in that regard since then.
Although, 
discussions did raise a possible option of adding it somehow
as an 
additional tool to the translations module if memory serves
me right.

Perhaps it could be taken up again with whoever is looking
after the modules 
repo now if Ferenc wanted. I know it could be better as an
independent tool 
for a number of reasons, and not least the amount of work
for Ferenc. Such a 
great tool, i'm sure it's much appreciated already
