Thread: mssql on 1.x

I've heard of a mssql supporting branch of 1.x or something
similar on an old forum post (http://x
araya.com/index.php/xarbb/topic/2752) and was wondering
if that work was completely lost or not. I'm trying to get
the new PHP SQL Server driver (
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=85f
99a70-5df5-4558-991f-8aee8506833c&displaylang=en) to
work with Xaraya (I already have an ADOdb driver for the new
driver) and started to do my own poking around on 1.1.4 and
was having install issues. It looked a lot like I was
reinventing the wheel so I thought I'd ask to see what
was/is available at least to give me a leg up.

I'd like to get 1.x and 2.x to work if possible so any help
would be...helpful =]

Joel,

Work on MSSQL support has been fairly minimal. I have
perhaps one or
two deployments in the field and those were quite a while
ago. I'm
solely working with the creole db abstraction layer atm,
because i
find it more manageable than adodb.

At the time i found creole support for mssql better than
adodb, but
things may have changed in the mean time.

I have no experience using the driver you point to. Is that
running on
other platforms than windows too? If you create a patch to
creole i'm
interested. I still seem to have committ access to their
repository.
