hi everyone. i realize this isn't a "general php discussion" group,
and i would not presume to treat it as such. however, something i
read-- somewhere i read something-- some research i was doing-- who
knows-- but i joined the ydn-php group a while ago, knowing that some
day i would be read to participate.
well, i believe that time may be nigh. for a guy who's only ever done
your typical "hey, this php thing is a pretty cool addition to html
based web pages" programming, what do you suggest i read, try, test,
research, etc., to begin to take my knowledge and skill to "the next
level" in being able to participate in an advanced community such as this?
i don't mean to sound so generic, and indeed i am humbled by the
Yahoo! namesake, and that which this Group represents-- and therein
lies the point, i suppose. knowing the quality of apps related to
Yahoo, and wishing to learn more about the power of programming with
API's, i'd like to at least "hang out" for a day or two,
metaphorically speaking. point me to a book on the shelf of your
library. what chair might i find a comfy place to sit here for a
while, as i observe some of the goings on, sitting quietly, reading
that book.
thanks!
.
