Master accounts?

Hi there,

Im a little confused by the system of master account? I was under the
impression that an advertiser got 1 master account, and all client accounts
went under that?

It seems for us there are multiple master accounts?

When I try and login to any for these accounts with a valid Panama login I
just get E1005, login failed for user xyz.

Has anyone any idea what im missing here?

Im suppliying a master account id, username, password and licence key to
make a getMasterAccountLocation call, which is fine. The username and
password are users under the master account being supplied.

Thank you in advance.

Justin.

Justin,

One "client" can have many master accounts. The usual self-service
advertiser will have just 1 master account and usually just 1 account
under that. Larger advertisers may choose to use more than 1 master
account to segment according to their business model. Consider it
another level of control when needed.

Generally, users are managed at the master account level, so if you have
many master accounts, you'll need different users to manage each one.
Your best bet would be to use a single user/pass associated with your
license key, then use the onBehalfOf headers for managing other master
accounts. Note that to ease your logic, you can have the same user/pass
in both the standard and onBehalfOf headers with no worries.

Hope that helps,
