API Books not closed... Seems to be a recurring theme?

Greetings - I've been trying to pull a cross-client report via the API

and continue to receive reports which indicate that the books are not

closed. This has been happening every now and then, but today is

pretty severe in that the books are still not closed as of 9:40pm ET.

Any idea what the issue is, and if we should expect this to continue?
