Image search problems

I have some troubles with image search. If a phrase is submitted as a
query, no search resultsare retrieved. For example, we get the
following response for "christmas gift"
(http://search.yahooapis.com/ImageSearchService/V1/imageSearch?appid=YahooDemo&query=%22christmas%20gift%22&results=2):

Image search in languages other than English is also troublesome.

Could you please look into the problem?
