I was testing a bit using the web search API and I have a few questions.
- The instructions at
http://developer.yahoo.com/search/web/V1/contextSearch.html says to
look at http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/ysearch/tips/tips-04.html for
help on how to construct a query. A question beyond what is there, are
there support for grouping/parantheses and nesting of these? Having
some knowledge on older versions of the commercial APIs to Yahoo's
index, I believe this was supported.
- When searching on www.yahoo.com, you will get tags like:
[ More results from www.xxx.yyy ]
Is there info somewhere in the free search result that gives you
similar info on which hits have more results from the same site?
- The public API can extract the section of the hit where the search
terms where, but there seems to be no highlighting of the query terms.
Any way to enable this?
Not complaining about a free service, just curious if these features
exists and I just failed to spot them while looking through the docs.
