Well actually I downloaded the DVD (twice!!). First time it
wouldn't install, some missing package. Second time around
it was complete and installed on my Mac mini yesterday to
replace the 4.1 that I bought last year.
I will install the packages I need again from scratch, but:
- still need to configure my Airport which never
worked in 4.1 (probably need some handholding....)
- and got at least 2 times a message from Enlightment(?)
saying "this is very bad ... a segfault...."

greetings,
Klaas Punt

What's the size of the iso file? At the mirror site the
Apple iso is
listed as being 3.6 GB. However, when I download it, it
stops at 2 GB.
I have done this twice, from two different mirrors.

I noticed that the size of the iso file on
http mirrors is listed as 3.6 GB but the size on ftp mirrors is listed as 2047
MB.
Why? Are they the same?

There is a bug in a lot of web HTTP proxy / cache software
concerning
files over 2GB. If downloading from the web is not working
for you,
try FTP. Try bypassing any local proxy or cache that you
are using if
at all possible as well.
