Dear All,
I have committed to the incubator everything regarding
Zend_Auth_Adapter_Ldap, Zend_Ldap and Zend_Ldap_Exception as
well as
around 20 or so unit tests which I have ran successfully
against AD
and OpenLDAP.
I have also extensively updated the Zend_Auth_Adapter_Ldap
Operator's
Guide with highly detailed descriptions of each option,
practical
tips, using the simple Zend_Controller based "demo
app" and other
content that you won't find in the proposal pages.

Note that this latest round of work was to break out the
Zend_Ldap
class which has been created to handle common LDAP
operations.
Currently it only satisfies the needs of the authentication
adapter
which is limited to binding and account name
canonicalization.
Zend_Ldap has no functionality for searching or modifying
the
directory and as such it is of little use to anyone by
itself (and I
would prefer that it remain that way until the adapter has
seen some
real action).
Note that I the unit tests are currently not invoked from
the parent
script and are, by default, disabled.
If anyone has any questions, suggestions or criticisms, I
will be
lurking on these lists but depending on the question and
for
posterity, leaving a comment on the Zend_Auth_Adapter_Ldap
Operator's
Guide wiki page might be a good place too.
Finally it would be nice to hear that someone besides myself
has
actually exercised this code.
