Elise-
I also wanted to tell you that I still have drainage and I had my surgery Dec 9. Although never enough to feel like I wet myself! I wonder if the drainage was blocked and now it's all out! Don't you wish you had xray vision so you could see exactly what is going on down there!
I read one of the articles that were posted on this site by either JR or TK and it said that wounds can take up to 2 years to heal. So we need to be patient! I have many days that I am 100% but after I walk on my treadmill or if I poop 2X a day instead of 1X a day I sometimes feel a little sore. But a little soreness is so much better than what I felt when the fissure and fistula were at its worse and even how I felt 6 weeks post op. I think these things take time. My CRS said if it takes a bone break to heal 6 weeks and it is immobilized, it's not hard to imagine that it will take our butts much longer since we use them every day.

Lisa,
Thanks! I haven't been on any vitamans but am going to start taking
some. I should have been on something all along. The weirdest thing
happened last night. The dressing on the fistulotomy site woke me up
b/c it was saturated, and I mean dripping with clear to light yellow
fluid. It was like something burst during the night. I thought I had
wet myself at first! It actually feels a little better now. Yesterday
was horrible. I had so much pain and I just saw my crs on Tuesday of
this week. Thanks for your comment. It is this site that keeps me going!

and fistuolotomy for weeks, months actually. I really started feeling
better when I started taking antioxidants that my CRS suggested. I
started taking extra Vitamin A, E, C and Zinc which is all good for
healing. Maybe that will help?
