side effects of diltiazem....worried

hi all,

does anyone know if using ca channel blockers diltiazem has side
effects......my eyelids have started twitching daily, and I ht5ink it
strted around the same time as diltiazem....dont know if this is a
coincidence or if its a side effect.........

since these creams, GTN, diltiazem, nif are all heart medications, will
it not have a bad effect on our hearts??

There are some side-effects occasionally, not sure if that's one.

No. Most of the medications are taken for heart problems as tablets,
although GTN is available as a topical ointment. However percutol (which is
GTN ointment used for heart issues) is 2% GTN compared to typically 0.2%
for anal fissure treatment.

The amounts that get in to the bloodstream are tiny from topical
application at the strengths used for fissures (although, in the case of
GTN, enough to bring on impressive headaches for some people).

Hi There;
i have been using that cream since Dec 2006 ... no real side effects
although for some reason now it is sometimes burning when I apply
it!!No other side effects.The dose is so minimual it doesn't affect
the heart!!!
