Hello everyone,

  I need your advice what are the differences between diltizem and nefidipine?  I was using nitro, and I have read to many posts that nifidipine works better than nito, I called my dr to have him prescribe nifidipine, and he prescribed dilitizem.  Has anyone used diltizem and has it healed the fissure?  Are there any side effects?  With nito I was getting headaches.

Naomi,

   

    No side effects with diltizem.  I have been using it for almost 7 weeks now.  And please understand these are not used to heal the fissure.  They are used to relax the anal sphincter muscle so it doesnt go into spasm so the fissure can then heal on its own.  I hear nif is bettter.  I wouldnt use nitro!
