one morning while having a BM .. and it spasmed .. its the only thing
i can pinpoint it to

I'm not sure if it can cause damage, but I have the
; same problem! When I cough, I have to brace myself
because I can feel it all the way in my bottom! It
was really hard after surgery because I was laying
down a lot and fluid would build in my lungs. Even
laughing was hard after surgery! I think Tony from
this board said he got his fissure from sneezing on
the toilet. It's kind of like when a doctor has to
check a man's testicles he asks him to cough, I think
all those muscles are innerconnected.
