When we had this situation, we utilized our University's
Office of Students with Disabilities. I forwarded them the technical
standards and had discussions with the office's director and the student.
It worked out well. ; With their help, we were able to accommodate the
student (one example was a specialized stethoscope with headphones), and the
student is now in graduate school. Utilize your institutional resources.
