Practicing when school is officially closed

Hi,

 

I would like to know if anyone has a policy regarding practicing when school is closed due to weather conditions?  At times a school will be closed because it is unsafe for students and staff to travel.  This does not prevent coaches from holding practices.  Does your school have a policy in place addressing this?  If not, do you have an understanding with the coaching staff?  Our policy is that if the athletic trainers can make it to practice then it is okay to practice.  This policy is wanting because it does not take into account the safety of the athlete who may be traveling from off campus to practice.
